ملخص :
لقد احتل أدب الرحلة مكانة بارزة في الأدب العربي على مرّ العصور، وقد تمايز عن غيره من الفنون الكتابية الأخرى، ونظرا لانفتاح العالم في العصر الحديث، اتخذ أدب الرحلة صورة جديدة، تمثلت في الاستطلاعات الصحفية، وقد احتلت مجلة العربي منذ تأسيسها عام 1958 مكانة بارزة في كتابة الاستطلاع الصحفي، الذي يُعد تصويرا أمينا لكل بلد مزار، ومحاولة رصد مظاهر الحضارة فيه، وبيئته الجغرافية، ومؤثراتها، وعادات وتقاليد شعبه ومعتقداتهم.
بعض هذه الاستطلاعات كُتبت بأسلوب أدبي بليغ ينم عن حس أدبي عال للكاتب، ويأتي محمد بن سيف الرحبي ضمن الكتاب الذين تصدوا لتحبير صفحات هذا الباب بالمجلة، فخلف العديد من الاستطلاعات التي تضم بين جنباتها لوحات فنية أدبية، تشي بقدرة الكاتب على الإبداع، كما أنها تبرهن على تقنياته الكتابية الأخرى
Abistract : Travel literature has occupied a prominent position in Arabic literature throughout the ages, and has distinguished itself from other written arts. Given the increasing globalization of the modern world, travel literature has taken a new form, represented by journalistic surveys. Since its establishment in 1958, Al Arabi magazine has occupied a prominent position in writing journalistic surveys, which are an accurate depiction of each visited country, and an attempt to monitor the aspects of civilization in it, its geographical environment, its influences, and the customs, traditions and beliefs of its people.
Some of these surveys were written in an eloquent literary style that reflects the writer's high literary sense. Mohammed bin Saif Al Rahbi is among the writers who have undertaken to fill the pages of this section in the magazine, leaving behind many surveys that include literary artistic paintings that indicate the writer's ability to create, and they also demonstrate his other writing techniques.
